I’m a person who loves to use turmeric in every face mask. I don’t know why I’m so addicted to turmeric. But, if you are also like me, you may know that our skincare is just incomplete without turmeric. So, today, we will be sharing the top 5 turmeric face masks that will help reduce acne and soothe the skin glow from the inside.
These facemasks have been tried and regularly used by many. However, as the summers are on the way, it’s the best time to use turmeric. Turmeric helps to remove tan and gives a fresh glow which we want during summers. And yes, summers mean sweating, which leads to acne.
Turmeric has lots of benefits to the skin. It contains antibacterial proteins which help the skin to heal from deep inside. In Asia, people use it as a tradition before every marriage. It truly has an immense belief with lots of goodness. Recently I discovered more about turmeric oil. I must say it’s one of the most beneficial for the skin.
I prefer using turmeric in every face mask and even in my night skincare routine.
Note: If you have oily skin, then you can use turmeric. As I do have oily skin, and I’m a regular user of turmeric. If you have never used turmeric, then give a test on your skin before using it on your face. Sometimes, turmeric gives a lot of acne to some faces.
Fuller’s Earth and Turmeric Face mask
Fuller’s earth makes the skin tight and even helps to close the pores. In addition, it helps make the skin oil accessible for at least 4-5 hours and gives a bright glow to the skin.
How to make this face mask:
- 2 tbsp of Fuller’s Earth
- 1 tsp of Turmeric
- 2 tbsp of rose water
Ahh, this much is required to make your face mask.
It’s just a magical face mask. But, if you have oily skin, then it is recommended for you as it helps to soak all the oils from the skin. And even closes the pores, which makes the oil come out.
Apply the face mask for at least 15-20 minutes till the front gets dried on your skin. Finally, wash it with cold water. I damp my face and, by using a wet cloth, wipe it out. I think it’s the best method to remove any face mask.
This method does not make the work messy And does the job correctly.
Gram flour and Turmeric Face Mask
This face mask gives an instant glow and keeps the oil at bay for a longer period. Brides in South Asia generally use this face mask to bring a glow to faces before the wedding.
How to make this face mask:
- 2 tbsp of gram flour
- 1 tsp of turmeric powder
- If you have oily skin take rose water or milk to make the paste
- Otherwise, use curd to make a paste of this.
Apply it twice a week and wash your face when the face is not completely dry. Slightly scrubbing helps to remove the dead cells from the skin and improves blood circulation. As a result, you can get immediate brighter skin. Both boys and girls can use this face mask.
Aloe Vera gel and Turmeric Face Mask
Aloe Vera gel is just like my go-to face mask, hair creams, and one of my favorite moisturizers. It contains all the good benefits for hair and skin. I have already shared the benefits of Aloe Vera gel and even my favorite hair mask using Aloe Vera as its main ingredients.
How to make the face mask:
- 1 tbsp of aloe vera gel
- One teaspoon Of turmeric.
Mix them to make a light color face gel and apply it at night time. It helps to remove black spots and dark circles. Using it regularly helps to clear acne and close the open pores. And during summer it gives a fresh and gloomy face in the following day.
Note: Before deciding the amount of turmeric, Don’t use much of it. Initially, use just a pinch to make this face gel. Then, if it suits your skin, you can increase the amount of turmeric.
Red Lentils And Turmeric Face Mask
Red lentil is a secret agent for glowing skin. People never love to share their secrets of clean and glowing skin. I have used this face mask so many times and have seen such a fantastic result within one or two uses of it. You must be thinking about how to apply dal on the face.
The best way to make this paste is by grinding the red lentils and keeping the powder ready for use. Or else you can even make a paste of it by allowing the red lentils to stay in the water for the whole night and blend it to make a paste the following day. I mostly prefer the dry one. As the soaked one sometimes gives smell which I wouldn’t say I like applying on the face. People with sensitive noses would choose to use the powder of red lentils rather than soaking them at night.
How to make the face mask:
- take two tbsp of Red Lentils
- mix it with a pinch of turmeric
- use raw milk to make a paste of it.
The best time to apply this mixture is moring time. Wash your face when the facemask is completely dry. it takes around 10 minutes to dry the mask. And you are ready with a glowing for the whole day.
Oats and Turmeric Face Mask
If you have super oily skin and acne on your face. Unfortunately, it’s tough to find a perfect face mask for your skin type.
Then it’s the best time to use oats and turmeric on the face as turmeric helps to remove and kill all the infections and bacteria creating acne on the skin. And oats help to deep cleanse the face by penetrating deep inside the skin, removing dirt.
How to make the face mask for oily and acne-prone skin:
- 2 tbsp of oats powder (blend the oats to make the powder)
- 1 tsp of turmeric.
- 1 tbsp of Aloe Vera gel
- Rosewater to make a paste of it.
Apply a thick layer of the face mask and leave it to dry on your skin. Slightly pat water to remove the face mask. Be careful while removing the facemask.
Don’t scrub your skin if you have severe acne on your skin. Rubbing helps the acne to spread on the skin.
